Awe and wonder at the marvels of science go hand-in-hand with exciting investigations of the world around us. All children deepen and extend their understanding through scientific questioning, leading them to experiment enthusiastically as they answer their own scientific questions. Science affects all of our lives and a good science education provides the foundations for understanding the world. All pupils are encouraged to understand how science can be used to explain what is occurring whilst also developing a sense of excitement and curiosity.
Visiting the nature area with its flora and fauna, all enrich the environment around the children. National Science Week is a springboard that enables children to probe and question in diverse ways.
Pupils are well-equipped with both knowledge and skills to understand the impact of science on all aspects of modern life. Critical and evaluative thinking underpins the approach to all areas of the science curriculum.
